    Jermell looked terrible

No defence against the ropes, was getting tagged.

Zero urgency even though he was clearly losing

    Didn’t make adjustments

    His punches looked forced

Not what you expect from a 3 belt world champ

I like the Charlo twins but I really wasn’t impressed.

One of the things that irks me the most is when fighters don’t press the action when they need to.

To me it’s clearly a lack of mental strength and makes me question how successful Jermell will be going forward.

not to compare the fighters...but wilder was clearly being outboxed by fury in the first fight and it wasnt looking good...he didnt press and set up his shot even very late......charlo was trailing harrison but was relatively patient and caught harrison....pressing isnt always the best option even if you think its close or youre trailing a bit...if you think that you can stick to the gameplan and catch your guy doing what youre doing......

I didn’t say this thread poster thought Charlo would lose to everyone at 147 and 160.

            Who can’t even differentiate?

            lol.

pressing sometimes looks like panicking....throws everything off and could lead to mistakes and gassing....alot of potential issues....not always a great idea and some guys just arent going to do it....

I get that but there got to a point where (in most people’s eyes) Charlo had to get a KO to win. It’s a terrible game plan to rely on having to KO an opponent who’s shown to durable all his career.

If there were better judges he would have lost last night.

What are your thoughts on his performance?
