Comments Thread For: Jermell Charlo On P4P Lists: We're Not Liked Because Of Our Personalities, We're Twins

Jermell Charlo cannot understand how he doesn't occupy a spot on every person's pound-for-pound list by this point. The 31-year-old Charlo owns the IBF, WBA and WBC 154-pound championships, has embraced the most difficult fights within his division and could become its first fully unified champion in the four-belt era Saturday night. Houston's Charlo (34-1, 18 KOs) also knocked out former WBC champion Tony Harrison in December 2019 to avenge his only professional loss - a controversial 12-round, unanimous-decision defeat in December 2018.

I'll say this about the Charlo brothers, they're more skillful boxers than the Klitschko brothers were.

They've done really well, credit to them.

More skilled than the Klitschko brothers. Are you serious? Vladimir ruled the heavyweight division for nearly twelve years and absolutely destroyed people. And except for injury Vitaly was close to unstoppable also. Fought Lennox pretty much even until cut stopped fight.
Vladimir is easily one of the top five or at very least top ten heavyweights in history. Nobody dominated the heavyweight division except early Mike Tyson like the Klitscos did.

I like them. The problem (as always with American fighters) is that they don't face the best to build their names, they expect for it to be handed to them.

You aren't a top ten boxer in the world. Your brother especially isn't. That's why neither of you are on the list.

American fighters, especially black, have always gotten overlooked on the P4P list. Jermell has arguably better resume than both Usyk and GGG, but for whatever reason, gets overlooked.

Not personality it's what you guys haven't done yet. Jermell can crack that list with a win tonight. Jermall on the other hand isn't taking on top tier talent. His run at 160 is pitiful and he has looked ordinary in all those fights. No matter what the Showtime propaganda I mean broadcast team says. I've honestly started muting those guys as of late when it comes to the main events they call.

Jermall ducked Jacobs and Jermell didn't fight Andrade. These new school kids have to stop whining and start fighting if they want their names to shine.
