Truth of the matter is that it is only a big deal to some of us the Hardcore Fans which is a very small Community and the Minority. Outside of us, Casuals don't give a DAMN about Undisputed and most of them are Confused as to why in the Hell it is so many Belts to begin with

Also too a fight like this you shift to CBS for Free

when Teo and Loma fought it was huge because LW is an original division. If HW, MW, WW, LW or FW has a unification it will be huge.

The exception is if a cash cow like Floyd, Canelo or Manny is unifying then it will be huge like you pointed out.
Do fans know or care enough to make the distinction between the original glamour divisions and the junior divisions? Heavyweight notwithstanding

Golovkin aka Mr 97K was the unified Middleweight champ but didn't break a million ppv's until Canelo, a bonafide star.

I heard Teo and Loma was going to be on ppv if it weren't for the pandemic, maybe that would have done big numbers? We'll see when they rematch.

I just think you need genuine star power to move the needle, being a champion isn't enough when there's so many belts to go around. You have to separate yourself from the pack somehow.

simply because they fought bums after bums.

Good point actually man. It seems the original divisions do hold a lot more weight when it comes to undisputed. Never thought about it like that.

Names will always matter more than the quality of the match up. Charlo has a decent name but he's not a star and obviously Castano isn't one either.

No UK tv has picked up the fight yet? Not even Fite TV?

Unfortunately not. International boxing coverage is a joke in this country.

I can't even convince my friend to come over and watch this one with me. The last time I convinced him to watch boxing was the Estrada Chocolatitio rematch.

I think his idea of boxing (not a fan by any means) was the boring clinch fests with few punches thrown. He was pretty impressed with the work rate though so he should enjoy watching Castaņo.

I'll give one more push tomorrow lol... It's kinda boring watching fights alone always (usually why I'm in the RBR threads spamming away annoying everyone) and I have no children to jump all over me this weekend so it's good timing for an undisputed clash.

Yeah I suspect not one of my casual friends even know this fight is happening tonight, a few of them knew about Taylor-Ramirez but that’s likely only because he’s British.
