Deontay Wilder hasn't been back for 12 months though, has he. He disappeared from the scene completely after getting battered by Fury in Feb last year and nobody saw or heard anything from him until December. He ignored call outs from Fury telling him "the clock is ticking" and when he did show his face again he claimed that he'd been unable to train because of an injury till November and that his rematch contract was still valid because the covid crisis had prevented the fight from happening before the original deadline.

This was all widely reported, so don't go giving me any ****** bull**** about Wilder being ready to fight for 12 months and Fury running away from him.

I didn't think I said that at all. Because I didn't say that at all.

I said boxing has been back for 12 months. These two have had the time to make the fight and have the fight. COVID isn't the reason they haven't fought, which is what I was responding to.

I don't know how long Wilder has been actively seeking this fight. I know Fury spent quite some time trying to avoid it.

Regardless, if just one of the two was acting in good faith then this situation would be resolved by now. Neither party is blameless.
