Even if that’s true, Froch had been more hurt in the fight than Groves but there was absolutely no chance of Froch being waved off, I think that’s the part that bothers people. Froch was down, out on his feet in too and badly rocked other times.

If you are going to stop fighters for the reason he stopped Groves, then you have to be consistent with both fighters in the ring and we know that was never going to be the case

    but that’s boxing for you.

        Yeah that was some BSht!!!

Ward/Kovalov 2 was a weird stoppage also. Even Ward knew he hit Kov. Low looked over at ref expecting to get warned and did not so continued pounding on his balls.

What if there was 30 seconds left ? - What if there was 29 seconds left ? - Where is the magic number?

A referee should never make any decision based on how much time is left - never make any decision based on who he thinks is winning. To do so removes his objectivity and makes him bias.

Besides Taylor not only didn't respond to Steele but also never took his left hand off the rope. He needed it to balance himself he still didn't completely have his legs under him.

            Chavez-Taylor

Honorable mention: Tyson-Ruddock 1. Tyson didn't get the chance to fully finish him after that flurry, thus resulting in having a rematch instead of fighting Holyfield afterwards. Crazy how that altered course of history.

Eh, I give that one a pass. Crawford whiffed a 3-punch flurry on Horn and the ref jumped in. Same thing.
