If Fury ends up "ducking" 3rd Wilder fight forever, how will history remember rivalry?

No one will care. They'll remember the one-sided beatdown he delivered and all of Wilder's pathetic excuses more than Fury sliding out of a third fight. Especially if Fury moves on to fight AJ.Comment

There’s no proof of that really , there’s more proof he was using AJ as clout as though in the end team Fury knew something was up the entire time . However he doesn’t seem intent non fighting Wilder either , he’s just wasting everyone’s time trying to disrupt things .
If Fury wanted the fight he goes ahead with it , no arbitration decision can stop him from doing so. He even offered AJ 20 million to fight bare knuckle nonsense but when time came to a proposed 20 million step aside to give to Wilder wheather true or not he said he wouldn’t. This is all I need to know .Last edited by REDEEMER; 07-16-2021, 09:36 AM.Comment

There will be two ways in which this is remembered.
1. The Casuals view who will see Wilder as this 40+ knockouts, long reigning champ with unparalleled power against a slick, undefeated mountain of a man who conquered addiction to make a comeback, and become a two-time champion.
2. The reality...The worst technically capable puncher to become world champion by beating 35 plus cherry picked nobodies who was protected from Wlad, who was exposed at the first sign of any decent level opponent versus a PED cheat who became a coke head alcoholic, blaming it on mental health and then they both ducked Anthony Joshua at becoming Undisputed to fight each other again in a bomb PPV third fight.
Did I miss anything?Comment

1. There is literally zero reason for Fury to ever duck Wilder. He nearly beat him in the first fight and then destroyed him in the second fight.
2. If they didn't ever fight again, Wilder's record vs Fury would be 0-1-1 and that doesn't look to good on paper historically speaking.
I will say this, if Fury somehow before Oct 9th goes into a self-destructive replay of what he did to himself previously, it will give all the Wilder fans fuel for their argument that Fury ducked him because he couldn't handle the pressure. It's tough to gauge that kind of stuff because us fans are not close to any of these fighters to know whats going on in their heads.Comment

Fury doesn’t have anything to prove against Wilder. He beat that ass twice. Wilder is just cashing out. He knows if Fury started a series of fights with AJ his time was over. Only value he ever brought to AJ was that WBC strap he and Haymon held hostage for years. Without that they wouldn’t look his way and by the time they were done fighting he’d be a shot fighter pushing 40.
If they never fight again Fury will always have Wilder’s 0 on his mantle. Wilder will always have the image of him getting beat down and making bs excuses after.Comment

It would really just bring up the cheating conspiracies accusations against Fury should he not fight Wilder again . It would be only a small minority of the crazy Wilder fan base pushing that so it wouldn’t really matter . It just makes Wilder look like looney tune but he would rather that then actually admitting he lost .1. There is literally zero reason for Fury to ever duck Wilder.
