Mosley was ranked nuber 3 when he beat the number one margarito. If Clottey wins he is the number one WW, ince he beat the number one guy. Clottey also won the Cotto fight in a lot of peoples eyes. He would be number one.

I still don't get why Mosley is number 1 right now. Cotto beat him and like 3 other top 10 WW and all Mosley did was win one fight against a plaster less Margarito to get that spot.

For Those who think Cotto would be #1 if Clottey beat SMM because he won 2 close fights against both, then by that logic Margarito would be #1 due to crushing Cotto, oh but SMM destroyed him and presumably Clottey may beat him....so I think we have our answer and have to go with the most current victory when ranking fighters in a weight class. If Clottey wins then he is #1 @ WW at least for the time being.

If Clottey beats Mosley then it is officially time for a welterweight round robin to settle this once and for all. If Pac beats Cotto what the hell, throw him in there too.

If Cotto beats Pac and Mosley does lose to Clottey, then Cotto should be the #1 welter IMO. If Cotto loses and Clottey wins, then Clottey should be the #1 WW.
