Beating Brian Castano should put Jermell in jail for assault and battery of a novice with 17 fights.

Not sure if this win will punch his ticket to canastota, but it should allow him entry into the p4p rankings. Jermell should honestly take Bud’s spot. Even though bud is the better fighter imo, his inactivity is diminishing him greatly.

He would have to beat Castano and have to successfully defend his titles for years against the best.. or also have a great run at middleweight

Ppl hating on Charlo yet they believe GGG and Loma are Hall of Famers but never ever beaten any top champions, add to that that both have won vacant belts or were elevated to champions instead of actually beating a champion.

But we all know Castano's and Mell's resumes are not equal.

The IBF/WBA/WBC champion also can secure his place as the sport's sixth fully unified, four-title champion in any division if he wins against Argentina's Castano in their Showtime Championship Boxing main event at AT&T Center in San Antonio (9 p.m. ET; 6 p.m. PT).

Wow, if that’s true so is the fact that 30 years from now people won’t remember his name.

In regards to Loma, his amateur career alone might get him close, 396-1, WBS winner, 2 Olympic gold medals, then add a belt in his third pro fight and fastest 3 weight champ, not sure Charlo's record is more impressive at this point.

Also wasn't Charlo's first belt the vacant WBC?

Overall Charlo will have beaten better opposition than Gatti if he wins this fight and as of now, didn’t convincingly lose to someone like an Angel Manfredy or Ivan Robinson.
Yeah. Other guy was just drunk on nostalgia. I liked Gabe Ruelas because he was a crowd-pleaser, but painting him as any kind of great in his era is silly. There is no shame in losing twice to a guy of Azumah Nelson's caliber, but the rest of Ruela's resume just doesn't hold up. His one great win was against Jesse James Leija, which is a lot to be proud of, but, overall, Gabe is remebered more for his losses than his wins at the championship level.

I think he's related to the character from Seinfeld.
