I always thought that Golovkin kind of grew disgusted after the first Canelo fight, that was supposed to be his big fight. And after the second fight changed his attitude to boxing.
He should take meaningful fight in a division in which he has belt, absolutely. Let's see what he does.

Golovkin is 40 and he had a very difficult time to get the big fights too, BUT instead of doing nothing, he fought the best mw contenders to get in position as No1 mandatory challenger for some of the big mw titles .... and then he got fights with Lemieux, Jacobs and Canelo . These young-ish mw fighters are not willing to go on this road. They are just staying safe hoping Canelo or Golovkin would fight them.

The real question for me: would I be more frustrated if Andrade finally gets big fights and wins them, because I'll be left thinking "what if?" or more entertained if he's beaten post-to-post and shows he was actually never actually deserving a shot? Wait, it's boxing - he'll win but get robbed.

Social media and casual fans have a massive Hand in that. Today if a fighter dares to be great and gets Ko’d the world laughs and they become a “meme”. When really all the greatest of great sports teams lose, they get to come back the next day or week and put it right, they have a buddy to track back and bail them out, fighters don’t get that luxury I’m afraid!

We somehow need to change that tide where we embrace a fighter who stepped up and came up slightly short! Too many “Fans” want to write off or cancel a fighter after one loss, because they want that new shiny fighter who’s got an “0” on his record still.
