With all that said, I do think GGG is an excellent fighter, very dangerous and technically sound, obviously. A top 1- 3 MW from 2012 to present, you have to be really good. Plain and simple. And I want to see a trilogy. But Canelo clearly gets held to higher standards by media/critics.

Canelo has been using his box offfice draw to get weight concessions. Now the guy who said he was too small for Golovkin has said he won't fight at 160 anymore. No one was demanding a 4th JMM fight. But lets face it, the three prior were non-stop fireworks. That's what fans want. JMM also had more in the tank at that point in his career (with a little help from the tainted meat), and Canelo has moved on to 168/175. Why would Canelo fans even care if he fights GGG again?
