If you are Alvarez, what do you want to do... make a big name come to you at 164 where you will have every advantage, or move up to Beterbiev who is knocking everyone out at a weight you are smaller than everyone?

Of course they bring up names at 175. The win over Kovalev was huge for Canelo's legacy. They want everyone to remember it. But What would you do? Charlo makes way more sense and is likely a more profitable fight as he is a North American based fighter. Canelo calls the shots here. No way he fights Beterbiev in the next 2 years.

beterbiev wont be champion in the next 2 years. He is vulnerable af

I’d obviously prefer Beterbiev-Smith next but I don’t mind Smith-Jacobs tbh, I like the Long Island vs Brooklyn aspect.

great news. It's got to be all names from now on for King Artur and Joe is a solid guy and dangerous opponent. Artur only has 5 fights left maybe and he's got to make them all bigguns. Shame Canelo didn't hang around for a jive.

Who has Buttbeiv fought? Literally nobody. He's on the wrong side of 35, has about 15 fights and hasn't unified. But keep crying about Canelo you simp.

He fought Gvozdyk for another belt and unified the belts by beating him.

Gvozdyk was the guy who put Adonis Stevenson into a coma and finished his career off. Don't act like Gvozdyk was a nobody.

Gvozdyk reprensented a far bigger and more dangerous challenge to Beterbiev than a shot and washed up Kovalev did to Canelo.

Beating a guy that KO'd a 40 year old past his prime fighter is his claim to fame? Lol. Ok.

Stevenson was still the champion and he was still dangerous.
