The official news is this fight is still on for July 24th. Don't despair yet. It's on, at this time of writing.

Lol whatever keeps you feeling good sonIt's just like I thought. He suffered another nervous breakdown. He is mentally weak. Now, the fight is in jeopardy of never happening at all.
I wouldn't be surprised if he would just announce his retirement and come back in 2-3 years to resume his boxing career.
Obviously he wants no part of Deontay Wilder because he is afraid of him and knew that he wouldn't be allowed to cheat this time. He was getting knocked the fuck out and he knew it!Comment

You know what….I agree…EXCEPT…..when this pos decided to run and have 2 b.s fights after the first wilder fight….I got something you can flip….say what you want but it’s all smoke and mirrors….bunch of embarrassing bums in this division….what happened to the days of old….these new generations are a goddam waste of everythingHope Fury's OK, makes a full recovery and that the fight is not delayed too much. May the best man win.
Sucks for Wilder, but it it is like the flipside of the coin of him asking for a delay when he injured his bicep. These things do happen, especially in a pandemic.Comment

BRO….who tha *** buys ppv 2 weeks in advance???? I certainly don’t so please stop with the sales crap….did not the last fight generate decent numbers and the gate was robust?….folks like controversies and mystery as well as the unknown….all boxing heads know that yes fury is technically fundamental vs wilder but wilder certainly can certainly decapitate fury with one decent shot…..and please tell me that you have seen wilder land flush on fury cause I haven’t…fury has so far been lucky and skilled enuff to roll with the punches that half ass landed…#pay attention

It's going to be postponed. The BBC does not report anything unless they are sure of it. They are saying it is called off after discussions with 'medical experts' and an official announcement from Top Rank will be out some time today.
I don't doubt the covid infection -- there is nothing implausible about such an occurrence and there will be medical records -- but the timing that they are now talking about sounds a little suspect. I'm hearing it is likely to be rescheduled for October. That is a big, big delay when Fury's team is probably facing a two-week disruption from this covid outbreak. I understand that it's not trivial to reschedule an event of this magnitude and it has to fit around other events... But still, it's interesting that this proposed new date is after the cut-off date specified in the arbitration judgement.Last edited by Monty Fisto; 07-09-2021, 05:15 AM.Comment

As a visitor from reality, may I point out that a multi-million dollar contract that has been enforced by a court is not going to breached on Fury's say so. Or are Wilder's fans claiming his team is so dumb they wouldn't think to ask for a verified test result?Comment

Good.
I suspected that for one reason or another the fight would be delayed. Wilder's camp tried pulling a fast one by forcing the fight on short notice.
I would still favour Fury to beat him, but it would have obviously been a disadvantage.Comment
