DAZN has made an offer to both Canelo and Plant. Hearn expected a counteroffer from FOX or another network affiliated with PBC for a PPV alternative to DAZN's offer. A condition for a response from the PBC side is that Canelo has to agree to a 5 fight deal with PBC. That is where it stands today.

I don't blame the PBC for sheltering guys like plant and Spence from Canelo and Crawford....those are imminent losses for them....I don't like it but I understand. Plant never had intentions on fighting canelo just like fury had no intentions on facing Joshua. Its pretty easy to see who the weakest fighters are.

And I wouldn't expect the PBC to allow their champions to go fight on DAZN.....that is just ******. If canelo wants PBC guys he should do like he did with DAZN....sign for 2 or 3 fights. Here’s the cold hard truth: Canelo is the clear undisputed top dog at 168 with or without all four belts. He doesn’t NEED to be undisputed to prove that. Just like Floyd never needed to be undisputed & never went for it.

Exactly. In 10 years' time there will be 7 recognized sanctioning bodies in this sport. Self-proclaimed knowledgeable boxing fans will accept this as reasonable and will assert that no fighter can legitimately claim to be the best in the division until he beats all 7 reigning "champions." A 4-belt unification is no more meaningful than a 3-belt unification. Caleb Plant is a belt holder in the 168lb division only because there are 4 recognized belts in boxing today and the sanctioning bodies disregard the other organizations' champions. He has beaten no fighter of signficance and no knowledgeable fan rates him as a true peer to Canelo.
