Hold on there thunder…..I didn’t mention slave contracts at all. The most money, since you seem to be arguing as if you’re a boxer and it’s your money, will always be made by means of no cap and that’s what PPV offers.

Ooooo young grasshopper..you make this too easy. Canelo made a guaranteed 15 mill from Dazn which was then increased to 35 mill because he got 60% of the PPV. So lets do the math grasshopper...Dazn/App = 15 milly .. PPV = 20 milly.....PPV is not dead and Dazn sees that that's why they got into it. Dazn now realizes they cant guarantee him 30-35 milly a fight through subscription buys from the App. It doesnt work. Dazn finally came to their senses and stopped grossly overpaying to try and trick Americans that they were this massive promotional company and failed miserably. This fight they have no choice but to guarantee Canelo 35 mill and Plant 10 mill because they cannot afford to lose the momentum they picked up from the Canelo European bum-bash tour. If he gets back on PPV it is OVA for them. Haymon should try to lock him in for a 3 fight Plant, Benevidez and Charlo run. Guaranteed 100 mill plus additional PPV revenue. FOX partnered with Haymon to get these fights on their network. They don't expect him to allow Plant to go fight on another platform. It's called business people and Haymon is a product of the Wharton biz school and they are taught to never leave a single dollar on the table. If he allows Plant to fight on the app he is leaving tens of millions of dollars on the table and he DEF aint BOUT DAT LYFE SON!

Plant has the final Belt to Unification so he does have some Leverage, he don't have to rush, he can sit back force Hearn and DAZN to just completely overpay for this fight or like Hearn Alluded, Canelo will just have to go over to PBC and FOX for a few fights then he can just go right back to Eddie and DAZN when he is done. He is a Network and Promotional Free Agent so I don't see the problem of going over to PBC on FOX for 2 Fights potential Plant and Charlo to secure that Unification as long as they give you everything you want and more which I think they would to get a fighter like Canelo

Something gets done but I think negotiations will and is probably being done directly with Canelo and Reynoso. As for Hearn, for selfish reasons you hope that things fall apart with Canelo and PBC and you get Canelo Back and he fights like John Ryder or something in the UK I guess. Statements like this are what’s wrong with boxing, Plant’s made no attempt at unification previously whilst fighting bums and is now playing hardball when negotiating for the Canelo fight because he doesn’t need him.

The problem is Alvarez doesn't wants to be locked into any long term contract. He wants to fight whomever and wherever he chooses. If FOX is offering the most money, he should fight Plant on it but win, lose or draw...that's it, one fight only.

A sad state of affairs if the fight doesn't get signed. They all know that Canelo is likely too formidable for Plant.

I assume that Plant wants the fight (for a high purse) and Harmon wants to lure Canelo into a multi-fight deal.

I have said it from the get-go: This fight ain't happening period. Canelo and his team better start putting plan b in place or he will not be fighting in September. Haymon wants Canelo to agree to a 5 or 6 fight deal with PBC as a condition of agreeing to a Canelo vs Plant fight. Plant breathes a sigh of relief because he knows he gets stretched by Canelo. By agreeing to turn down the Canelo fight Plant will fend off, with Haymon's help, any attempts at a Plant vs. Benavidez fight. Now is the time for any uber drivers, tattoo artists, tarot card readers, and cigar smokers who are interested, to approach Haymon and ask to fight Caleb Plant this fall. No previous experience is necessary.
