Calzaghe is a shoe in ATG.

Mikkel Kessler was actually ranked #1 by the Ring, Jeff Lacy was ranked #2 (no champion then, Joe was ranked #1), and Bernard Hopkins was ranked C for champion at 175.top ten rated fighters Calzaghe faced in his Super Middleweight reign:
Robin Reid #6,
Richie Woodhall #8,
Charles Brewer #5,
Byron Mitchell #5,
Lacy #3,
Peter Manfredo #10, and of course
Kessler #2.
And then you have Hopkins and Roy. and I would throw Bika in there too, because he got rated after Calzaghe beat him. I would mention Eubank too
Is that ATG worthy? Im not being sarcastic, but here are the facts, now make your decision. I dont think title defences or undefeated records mean much, its who you beat (and how) that matters by far the most.Comment

well, I was counting Calzaghe for the Kessler one...Kessler couldnt have been the #1 when Calzaghe was the #1.
I get that he was the 'champion', but I still include him in the top ten rankings anyway.
Lacy was rated #3 at the end of 2005, and he fought Calzaghe only 3 months into 2006. maybe he was rated #2 going into the fight, but it seems kind of silly to bump him up a level when he didnt beat anyone at all during those 3 months.

theres no point in really getting too deep in it anyway though, Kessler and Lacy are Calzaghe's most well and talked about wins anyways, alongside Hopkins.Comment

To consider Calzaghe a Top 25 ATG is disrespect to other fighters before him who have done and fought more. A list of 30 fighters from the last 100 years can easly be posted that doesn't include Calzaghe, and for a good reason.
I didn't quote the idiot who said but boy, that post took the cake.Comment

OK punchy i'm back from work and I have an ice cold beer, lets dance.I agree to all of those but boy you got 90 more to go. This list here covers a whole decade and boxing has been cronicled for only about 100 or so years. The way you answered earlier I thought it would be easy for you but go ahead and get your study on. Good luck.
