I doubt Canelo will had the urgency to fight Benavidez if David would of never lost the WBC belt on the scales. He wouldn’t been on this 168lb unification journey because benevidez isn’t no dam domestic level Brit like smith and Saunders.

you mention about missing weight and not having a belt and not being a champion when Canelo made his own weight class to avoid GGG. Remember that dumbass when he made up 155lb division to duck GGG and because he struggled to lose a pound. FOH you Canelo fans always forget the Canelo shenanigans

That’s poster is Puerto Rican. He’s upset because Cotto and Verdejo recently said Canelo should govern their island for the greater good of their culture.

Puerto Rican fans crying about Canelo is nothing. Remember months back you cried that Berlanga is the next great thing for boricuas and that Canelo is ducking him? Lol

If anything I think its seriously the opposite.

He just plods forward, squared up, blocking punches with his damn face. So stiff he can't even bend his knees.
Just walks in straight lines, knees locked out, feet crossing like he's taking a stroll to the shop and overwhelms little guys who lounge on the ropes or stand in front of him with a load of arm-punches.

I think anyone with a little size, pop and savvy enough to stay off the ropes/not stay in front of him makes the guy look like a mummy.
He fights like he has rigor mortis.

I had high hopes for Benavidez but I just haven't seen any new improvements from him, if anything he has regressed since first coming up. He literally just walks forward and leans back for defense, an explosive fighter like Canelo would have no problem landing on Benavidez. The only thing going for him is his massive size advantage over Canelo but I don't think that would be enough and Canelo would land to the body all night long

There isn't much to talk about Benavidez yet.

            1. Benavidez is making zero noise.

            2. He fights on PBC.

            3. He is ranked as the #1 contender at 168 because everyone else lost and were dropped lower in The Ring. He did not exactly get there for his resume or putting together a string of wins over top 10 fighters. So, ranked by default.

            4. He is being brought up very slowly and has been fighting weak opposition, so it's hard to tell how good he actually is. What this will cause, guaranteed, is that Canelo critics will say he fought a green fighter if he wins. Or, they will just downplay Benavidez after losing.

            5. Because of #4, Benavidez is not a legacy/career enhancing fight for Canelo. Canelo would probably be more inclined to fight him if he at least had a major title.

What he offers is his skills and name recognition. Also an ex-champ in his prime and Undefeated. The ginger is going to get pay no mattet what. Instead of fighting for worthless trinkets and drunken old men. He should fight guys like benavidez.

His moronic team said something about not fighting any more Mexicans coincidentally. Unless your the 40 old men he fought in mexico, josesito, angulo and chavez. But if your a benavidez then its not happening.

This is when having so many ****ing champions becomes so annoying. People clamor about so and so beating so many "champions," yet many of these fighters haven't done much and only fought for a vacant title, beating someone who was hardly worthwhile in the process. Yes Benavidez's dumbass screwed up and thus lost the title, but you got people vehemently saying "What does Benavidez bring? What belt does he have?" when his name is mentioned with Canelo. Do you honestly think it's more meaningful to beat Yildirim for a belt, or defeating Benavidez without one? You can argue about whatever tangibles David brings and whether he's a good fighter or not, that's a different conversation. It's amazing when fighters from whatever weight class care about belts when certain guys have them and then dismiss more worthy challengers because they don't offer any hardware. Some of these "fans" are ****ing pathetic.

Canelo Beats Him, but it’s a great fight. Only Canelo fans would be scared for him to fight him, they are scared he will lose.

I think Nelo wins stoppage. Would be great fight.
