Whyte v Ruiz, or Ortiz next, Canelo promotions, would be record breaking stuff, and that's before a title shot.
Not that much better? 20 fights in 17 years as a pro, never fought a top 50 opponent but is somehow magically ranked by an alphabet soup body? This is why the HW division is the weakest it has been in over 50 years. It is the complete dumpster fire division in boxing today.

The trouble with Martin saying "If you really want to convince people that I'm easy, then why don't you come over here and take this easy money from me then?" is that Martin doesn't move the needle in terms of money. I doubt either Franklin or Martin would be fights designed to rake in the cash by themselves, but rather a means to an end. Which is to say, building Whyte's profile with US fans.

Martin no doubt is a more credible opponent than this Franklin guy, but that isn't saying much and from a PR perspective Franklin doesn't have an L, as pathetic as it is that that makes a difference.

If Martin is so good, how did he lose to Kowanacki? Martin is famous for the fights he lost, it doesn't take scheming to bypass him.

Whyte is more terrified of Prince Charles than teenage girls are terrified of Prince Andrew.

Let’s put things into perspective here. Whyte is calling Martin garbage. Whyte’s next opponent into the US is a boxer that hasn’t fought a top 50 opponent in the 17 years he has been a pro. See the irony here? Yet instead of defending who he has chosen to fight you deflect to point to Martin’s notoriety. You seriously cannot be comparing Martin to Franklin. No way in hell.

Helenius beat Knowacki who beat Martin.

Whyte beat Helenius, so Martin isn't going to worry him.

Helenius was eating potato chips on his mom's couch a week before he got the call to fight Dillian.

I know, he is a bum. Let Haymon send him some offers. Would love to see him turn those offers down.
