played them both side by side at some random parts and yeah in the canelo fight he is boxing a lot more fluid, usings his jab WAY more compared to ward just kind of throwing from whatever hand without a set up. Announcer in the canelo fight saying his corner is telling him to just box and not try to throw any power shots. like i get some of the strategy to try to be faster but ***s sake he should use his power too. the best boxers dont always use the same speed with every punch, they mix it up. Mayweather, loma and usyk were very good at that, changing the speed and power on different shots to keep the opponent guessing. Just watched garry russel vs loma the other day and they were making a good point that while russell had very fast hands he only threw at the same speed every time and made it easy for loma to time and predict.

Yup,miss my boy Lucas, actually meet him and was surprised at how small he actually was but guy had dynamite in the fist. Both Danny and Ruslan said he was the hardest puncher they've ever faced....

As far Kov,it looks like all his age, drinking and lack of dedication finally took its toll on him and it showed, basically got old over night, simple as that. Short camp after a grueling fight contributed to his poor performance against canelo as well. The Krusher that fought Pascal would've wrecked Canelo imo.

Then explain to me what makes the 200lb kov Canelo fought look worse than Wards 2 yrs prior,(Kov was winning on Dan Rapheal card too vs Canelo) I think ppl remember things differently in hindsight, because to me Mcgirts Kov despite being a lil older was better than the one Ward faced due to gameplan (or rather lack thereof vs Ward)
You honestly feel that the Krusher thought fought Canelo was the best version of Kovalev....lol whatl?? That version looked like an old shop worn fighter to me. A "gameplan" isn't much if you your body can't physically assist you on carrying out said gameplan and that's what we saw against canelo,a listless lethargic old Kov. I think the Kov that fought Pascal twice was the best/prime version of him and that version would've wrecked Canelo..but that's just my opinion.

Did you watch the vids side by side(if so I can't see how you would come to that conclusion,Kov looked as listless & lethargic as can be vs Ward in rematch, devoid of any gameplan whatsoever & had same jab heavy attack) (I think you made up your mind about the narrative & aren't comparing honestly)

Vs Canelo kov was 1 rd away from being able to cry robbery like so many others. Vs Ward 2 he looked like complete sht to me.

Vs Canelo Kov had tons of success more than any recent Canelo opponent (partly because he outweighed him heavily, but Mcgirt had revived his career and he had came off avenging his ko loss in 1 sided schooling of E. Alvarez)

I think vs Ward Kov just fought inside more, but thats due to different opponents & Ward let him get inside more whereas v Canelo his plan was to avoid in fighting.

Ward fights and first E. Alvarez fight took everything from him.

Canelo fights was only a cash grab for him, he was only the shadow of fighter.
