Did Kovalevs power just come from PED's or something?

Remember few years back when he was the hardest P4P puncher and anyone he hit including 6'3" 190lb Nathan cleverly would just be brutally ktfo basically instantly.

Then I saw him running away from canelo and just couldn't hurt him at all and nobody is scared of his power anymore.

I don't think he lost his power, it's just that he used to fight freely with aggression, over the last few years he fights like a man with no stamina that's packing glass. He's really scared of what's coming back now and doesn't let the fire fly like he used to because of it.

His right hand was broken in the build up for the Canelo fight, he has admitted to taking the fight for the pay day alone. The man is a sad example of poor management, lack of motivation and alcohol addiction.

Then explain to me what makes the 200lb kov Canelo fought look worse than Wards 2 yrs prior,(Kov was winning on Dan Rapheal card too vs Canelo) I think ppl remember things differently in hindsight, because to me Mcgirts Kov despite being a lil older was better than the one Ward faced due to gameplan (or rather lack thereof vs Ward)

He looked like he was pulling his punches with canelo, that fight was very weird and i am a canelo fan

kov-ward 1 was a very close fight, i would have to rewatch it and score it round by round to tell you who won.

kov-ward 2 the stoppage was BS, ward literally threw a 5 punch combination directly to the balls and the ref was like oh cant continue in 10 seconds? ok its a stoppage, no 5 minutes for you. that ref should be fired and license pulled

he had some kind of sexual assault case looming over his head and the canelo fight could have been his last chance to make some big cash for a long time

i havent heard about that case in a long time, idk if he ever went to court yet or it was dropped?


edit - nevermind it wasnt sexual assault it was assault/battery and it was felonies for punching some woman in the face or something but then they reduced all the charges and gave him probation. very odd, like if he did it why didnt they want to see the case through but if he didnt do it why plead guilty to the lesser charges. something is up with that case maybe the DA didnt have much evidence.
