Comments Thread For: Chris Colbert Boxes Past Tugstsogt Nyambayar For Dominant Decision Win

By Jake Donovan - Chris Colbert had plenty to say throughout fight week and backed up every word in the end. The brash Brooklyn native continues to develop as a player in the junior lightweight division, the latest evidence coming in his brilliant performance versus Mongolia's Tugstsogt Nyambayar. Colbert convincingly outboxed the 2012 Olympic Silver medalist and former featherweight title challenger en route to a landslide unanimous decision victory Saturday evening at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.

Also featured at Friday's weigh-in were unbeaten rising star Michel Rivera and lightweight contender Jon Fernández, who square off in the co-main event of the SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING telecast that begins at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

Showtime is playing a replay of Davis vs Barrios for me. Anyone know what the deal is?

its davis vs barrios => rivera vs fernandez => colbert vs nyambayar

Im not sure why there is a need for a scheduled re airing in 2021 though, I thought Showtime has an app, should be made available on demand.

The match that was going to go on first was canceled so they decided to do a replay instead of bumping up an undercard fight. TBF, none of them are that appealing.
