What is the newfound obsession with Chris Colbert?

Maybe it says more about me but I only knew of him because someone had him as a prospect to watch GIF

Now over the past week or two, I just cannot help but notice article after article.
Chris Colbert comments on Deontay Wilder
    Chris Colbert says
Chris Colbert goes for his morning dump

I see he holds the WBA interim and has an upcoming fight so I get some traction but I'm struggling with the sudden push. I feel he's being pushed under my nose a bit here. Someone is saying I am selling and you're going to buy...So Is it worth tuning in to watch him with his 6K.Os or am I better off watching Paulie Malignaggi greatest hits?

Like seriously am I missing something?
Is he actually worth tuning in for or is this a bit of an inside joke I have been left of a little like with Cornflake Lamanna (sp)

I want to stay up and watch and be like ''Oh good prospect/fighter, thanks for putting me onto him'' but I am almost getting the impression its something more like the push that Cletis Seldon guy got who is a damn awful fighter.

I mean you damn well know why some became fans of his overnight. But regardless, I DO think he is worth turning into. Colbert is a good young fighter that can fight in multiple ways and he's going to stand and **** despite not being a big puncher.

So yeah, I think he is a good, young and at times a very exciting fighter.

I genuinely don't but guessing its because he said some negative things about Wilder? (I only glanced over the threads).
I'll suppose I'll have to go and watch a few of his fights then and get a feel for what he is about.

You watch and like Devin Haney who is basically a racist Paulie without the toughness or balls, see gif below.

Chris actually is a good boxer. Never seen him hug for dear life in a fight. He dyes his hair colors for all sorts of causes awareness. The noise about him lately is he did an interview with Nes from thaboxingvoice in association with Fighthype. Chris hilariously debunked and made fun of Wilder's outlandish conspiracy theory excuses for getting his ass whooped by Fury. Chris picked Fury to beat Wilder again. The LDBC was madder than hell at him. Team Wilder had the interviews taken down. A straight b!tch move just like having the Harold Sconiers videos removed.

He definitely hits harder than Malignaggi. Not a puncher, but he has a good engine and has started to understand how to wear down guys. In both his 12 round fights, he put it on late, took out Arboleda in a nice fashon and Corrales was just clinching a ton to avoid getting knocked out.

He's funny and tells it straight. That's why I listened to the video about Wilder. But he talked about a few things there, and I thought it was straight. Even if he didn't fight, he's fun to listen to, like being back on the block in Philly clowning with this guy.

According to Fighthype, it was Colbert who asked for the interview to be taken down.

according to Ness, it's wilder he is blaming and he has gone in on Wilder. he is one of the big wilder fanboys and even in the colbert interview was pressing the whole 'wut bout da gluffz doe' argument. But once colbert asked for it to get taken down...ness has gone in on wilder?
why do you suppose that is? wilder prob threatened to bum colbert like he does everyone else. he is a proper gayboy.
