Fighters like floyd mayweather jr. are the reason why boxing is losing the fan base battle with MMA. All fighters talk about now a day specially mayweather is , ppv numbers 8 figure paydays, i'm the real champ. Reason why jmm and mp have such a big fan base is because they go out there and put it out on the line. and the fans respect that. Nobody ****ing cares about how many homes bought your ppv, or that every fight you have is an 8 figure payday. Floyd's right if marquez loses, if cotto loses, or if paquiao loses they go home and are still loved by their countries. the reason for that is because they fight to be the best whether they make it to the hall of fame or not they fight to beat the best, they fight to be called the best. if they lose they gave it their all and not make any excuses. they go home and live their lives and prepare for the next time. they don't worry about how many seats they'll sell or how many homes buy their fights they focus on their opponents. Gone are the days of evander, ali, foreman, hagler, they may have talked **** but they were warriors. hopefully marquez can hang and beat floyd. but floyd's too good and too big i don't think marquez can handle the speed.and hopefully floyd wont duck the real champs like paul williams, mosely, berto (even tho i think he's not ready for floyd) but one of those three should be in floyd's future not undersized opponents like manny pacquiao. unless floyd's willing to fight at 143 or less. manny's good fast and powerful but i doubt he has the power to drop the likes of floyd mayweather or even cotto for that matter.

That fight will show the difference (if any) between Pac and JMM as far as being different sizes. If Pac doesnt get KO'ed than he can hang. Either way I dont see him winning vs Mosley, Mayweather or Cotto.

Pac certainly proved something at WW and JrWW. He may have not have beaten the best at WW. Hatton maybe overrated but he was top 3 if not the best at JrWW. Hatton was undefeated at 140 and the lineal champ. Who do you think would beat Pac at 140? Bradley?

Pac have shown that he could bring his power and speed in moving up. JMM has not fought at 140 and 147. He has not yet proven he could bring his speed, reflexes and footwork in moving up.

Pac is definitely way faster than Mosley. He may not have the power of SSM and Marg but have enough power to take them down.

I do agree that the real test for Pac is Cotto. Pac and JMM are fighting above their natural weights but i won't count them out. They both have skills to upset these WWs.

Most of the questions tho will be answered after Floyd-JMM and Pac-Cotto
