If prime David Tua was active today where would he be in the HW picture?

He was never able to win the title in his own time, losing his only shot to Lewis. However what if he was active today in the current HW environment?

Tua would be a champion. Fury is the only one with a chance to beat him.

In my unbiased opinion, David tua would be a champion in today's era.

David Tua would be a champ in past eras too.

Pretty sad his one chance to win a title was against a 6 foot 5 Lennox lewis.

Tua would eat Joshua for breakfast, especially the way Joshua has fought since Ruiz I. He looked scared against Pulev of all people.

He probably gets inside on Wilder and Fury, too. Fury has been knocked down by shorter guys like Cunningham and Pajkic in the past, and Tua has one of the best chins of all time so there's no guarantee Wilder could take him out even if he landed a bomb.

Guy was 4-2-1-0 with 4 KOs against heavyweight champions, he just never beat one during their respective reigns:
        W John Ruiz KO 1
        W Oleg Maskaev TKO 11
        W Hasim Rahman TKO 10
        L Lennox Lewis UD 12
        L Chris Byrd UD 12
        W Michael Moorer KO 1
        D Hasim Rahman SD 12

Tua would be in the WORSE place than he was back then. Way too small for these big men.

His leaping hook would be too much for aj he too chinny. Deontay, lost by ko to a man that punches less stronger than David Tua, albeit Tyson fury is a crafty mfer . Him vs David for all the belts. Tyson can out box others, and also Tua can be outslugged (Ike) believe me.

Tua was one of the most ducked heavyweight contenders.

Lennox Lewis and other champions paid him step aside money.

              Think about it.

Fres oquendo got 3 title shots AFTER Tua koed oquendo.

only Lennox Lewis ever gave Tua a title shot and that was after paying Tua to step aside before.

                Ike didn't outslug Tua.

                Blasphemy.

After the Tua fight, ike suffered brain damage and was constantly complaining of headaches.

Ibeabuchi also went crazy. Like those nfl players that went cuckoo after taking too many hits.

                    Tua won that fight.
