He will avoid them for as long as he wants. His fans seem to be okay with it, and they even buy into the whole 3 division champ crap, so who knows...

How long will Tank be able to avoid the top fighters at 135?

He has Mayweather as his mentor - so basically he can avoid them forever. You remember when Wilder's best win (well still is) was an old Ortiz (whose best win was Jennings many years ago) - didn't stop the hype or money in any way. He even got away with picking a fat bloated and retired but big name Fury as an opponent. If that hadn't backfired - Wilder would still be the greatest thing ever
Fans are dumb and will believe anything without proof. Not saying that Tank isn't or won't be great - but he should have to prove that in the ringBogadile likes this.

I don’t know who he faces next- maybe Russell. My point is why don’t people ask about him fighting at the weight he is at the top at instead of weights where he isn’t in the top 10?
Posters write they want the best fighting the best. So why not ask about the best 130lbers fighting?

What's the problem? PBC fan boys, Tank and his owners all claim he WOULD, that's WOULD beat them all, that's good enough for them. That alone should raise him high in the P4P rankings and set him in as an ATG.

Surely they'll try to put Davis/Colbert on PPV, but Colbert needs more seasoning. I think Colbert has the personality to sell a PPV though.
