i think, could be wrong, africans see football as a way out of poverty not boxing, boxing is not on the radar as a career, in places like mexico boxing has history, everyone knows boxers and they are heros, the good ones that is, no role models like that in africa, the heros are footballers

The infraestructure in Mexico isn't good at all, in fact it's quite terrible, the govt. doesn't give a crap

That's why boxers have to become pros at 15yo, and Mexico is a joke at the world amateur stage and olympics

Yet Mexico is a professional boxing powerhouse, so there must be other reasons besides ¨infraestructure¨
I think we don’t see Brazilians in boxing for the same reason Thais aren’t in boxing and mma

their homeland is the capital for a martial art that pays

This is a weird comment for someone to say. It’s equal to saying Lomachenko has not fought a good opponent in a while when all he does is fight top 10 fighters.

Usman has 6 fights in a row vs highly ranked fighters of his division. Two guys he beat recently are #1 and #2 below him at Welterweight. Masvidal is top 10 still. Dos Anjos is top 10 at Lightweight. Just a weird comment to make of Usman. The dude broke Covington down and forced the stoppage, who’s an excellent fighter.

Lol adesanya one loss came when moving up. He’s unbeaten at middleweight.

Usman is probably the most dominant fighter in the UFC right now.

Ngannou just knocked out Miocic cold.

don’t bring you boxing bull**** to MMA.

Well all 3 are champions. And it’s not 1 of 8 champions in 17 divisions. All 3 are the undisputed kings of their divisions.
