I love the sport of boxing by good G-d does it have soap opera elements these days. For years DLH was obsessed with Mayweather going back to how floyd mocked him in the lead up to their fight, Floy’s father training Oscar, etc. Now that obsession is pointed at Canelo

He was the golden boy at one point but over the last several years he has acted like a golden girl on crack rock! If it’s not being envious of Mayweather it’s Canelo and whoever else but he don’t say a dam thing about that asss whipping Bernard put on him, and how dare he come to mention Sugar Shane with all the wins he hold over him. Dam Oscar all these Hall of Famers whipped yo asssss!

The Chavez era has been over for 25 years. There’s no torch for Chavez to pass this far removed from his era. Passing of the torch generally occurs from one generation to the next like maybe from the Leonard era to the Oscar era to the Floyd/pac era. If we’re talking Mexican boxing specifically, the Chavez era lead into the Barrera/morales/Marquez era.samy787 likes this.

I’m really good at really lips and I after viewing the video several times Chavez Sr. clearly says “My son is a disgrace and a bum. I wish you were my son Canelo so I could have a child to be proud of. The torch…is yours.”
Hopefully that clears things up.
