The other made no attempt to fight for the Super title, and targetted the regular champ instead. Are you really saying that makes no difference?

I'm saying it's the belt both held. No 3 division champion, no 20 defenses.

You can't be a champion in a division that's ruled by an undisputed champion without beating the undisputed champion. Tank has only really won a real title from Pedraza.

Should it count for Kessler or LHW Hopkins? Should it have counted for Maidana or Hatton? Should it count for poor Artem Dalakian?

I say it should count as long as there ain't an incumbent Super (or 'unified' as they've sometimes called it over the years) Champion. Basically the highest ranked of the multiple WBA champs (Super > Unified > World) is the one that should be considered 'the' WBA Champ at any given time.

Ain't really figured out how to deal with the WBCs franchise bull**** yet though, cos that's another type of ****** again.
