    Thurman Rejects Jaron Ennis Fight

“Like I said, if anything is presented to me, then I’ll look at it,” Thurman said when told that Jaron Ennis has called him out.

“These young bucks have not been presented yet. I still think they’re climbing the ladder. I think they know they belong with the best fighters in the world. They’re starting to build their name and get their recognition.

“The young man that you just mentioned [Jaron Ennis], he might be on Showtime. I’ve never heard of him.

“Lipinets never impressed me,” said Thurman when told that Jaron Ennis recently stopped Sergey Lipinets in the sixth round on April 10th.

It’s hard to take Thurman seriously when he says he’s “never heard” of Jaron Ennis before. Thurman sounds like he’s purposefully disingenuous as a way to avoid another young lion that’s looking to beat him.

Keith 'One Time' Thurman is back in training looking to come off a long two-year-old layoff against a still to be determined opponent in August or September.

"I've never heard of him!" LMAO!!! COWARD!!!

Boots destroys Thurman IMO and Thurman is probably aware of it. I dont think we've seen the best of Boots by a long shot. He is talented enough to not only take over 147 but possibly the P4P list if somebody would just give him a chance to prove how good he really is.

Teofimo's dad is not the ideal manager that is for sure. He has done well training his son but likes to talk a lot. Loma could get KOd by Teofimo if they fight again although the Loma worshippers don't think so. Teofimo has to beat Kambosos first.

        Every boxer does that.

The same thing was done to Thurman when he was coming up.

        Maidana
        Malignaggi
        Mayweather

        All snubbed Thurman.

Thurman vs Maidana was announced for July 21st 2012, Maidana pulled out stating he needs a tune up.

Malignaggi told Thurman to get a belt.

Thurman was the WBA’s #1 contender (Interim/Regular title) since 2013. Mayweather was obviously never going to fight him after beating Maidana because Thurman wasn’t at the level of Pacquiao, in terms of money and ranking. Mayweather could have fought Thurman instead of Berto but the WBA wasn’t about to try to force Mayweather to fight Thurman and risk Mayweather dropping the belt and then the WBA risks not getting that large sanctioning fee. So they left it alone and took their money.

It’s the circle of life in boxing. Thurman isn’t doing anything new.

I wish boxers who get snubbed and avoided would try not to repeat the cycle. This is assuming that Thurman is telling the truth about not knowing who Ennis is. I've learned from interviews that some boxers don't follow the sport closely until they have fights lined up. Thurman has been so ****ing inactive that his ignorance could be legitimate.

Keef doesn't follow guys who don't draw money.

Boots Ennis doesn't draw money. Same with Vergil.

So Keef waits for a call from Al to tell him, "hey, this guy's up, do you want it? I think you should take it" and Keef will then say "what's the price" and if the number is low, he knows they're not worth the risk.

I know that NSB has this thing about guys fighting the latest 'eye test' but these are prizefighters. They fight for the top prize.

I don't hold that against Keef. He should chase top dogs.

The only thing I want is for Keef to fight Ugas. Because Keef was WBA champion, Ugas has the belt he lost. Go get it back MF'er. Do that, and Spence will want to fight you.

I believe the reason Keef doesn't go that route is that he really doesn't want to fight Spence.
