Yeah true not a big name in the US BUT if Tank is fighting at 140 then why not go at the BEST

Taylor is a huge 140 and he can box so it is a very risky fight but Ellerbe knows that which is why he is downplaying him a bit. I'm all for this fight IF Davis is staying at 140.

If not Taylor then fight Prograis who is closer to Tank size

Yeah that’s true, it’s just on the following day it’s not quite the event which adds prestige to a fight. I mean to the avg viewer they might think Ricky Burns is much more accomplished. No knock on Burns, he’s achieved a lot but never became undisputed and achieved this much this early on.

Except they didn't. Loma fought Linares (Golden Boy) Pedraza (Top Rank) Crolla and Campbell (Matchroom)

Has the whole industry frozen out Haney? Including his own promoter? Or once again, does Hearn just not give a phuck about any of his North American fighters?

So much so that you rarely ever thought he was American. His citizenship is Puerto Rican, his residence is in Puerto Rico. That for me is A-ok , I identified him as Puerto Rican as result. For me, it was about his skills, his demeanor and his respect for others.

I hate this concept, I think good fights will sell, the people that follow Tank will find out who Taylor is if a fight was looking to be made and say hmmm good fight coming up, its a boxing fans fight.

Okay but all Puerto Ricans are Americans.

Yes, from a legal standpoint. From a cultural and societal standpoint not so much. Puerto Rican’s do not represent the United States in the Olympics. They do not pay Federal payroll taxes. Unless they’ve lived one consecutive year within the United States they do not have to sign up for Selective Service. Puerto Rican’s born in PR cannot vote for a US President, nor their own US Senators or Representative.
