Cotto was amazing from 2006-2008 but both guys would present issues stylistically.

As for the fight itself, I see Cotto jumping out to an early lead behind his jab because Bud usually takes a few rounds to adjust. After that I see Crawford gradually working his way back into it and a controversial decision either way wouldn’t be out of the question.

My point of reference is Cotto’s fights with two older but still capable former champions in Shane Mosley and Zab Judah. Those were competitive fights and I see Bud being highly competitive as well.
Bud Crawford is not as good as Shane or Zab.

Mosley and Judah would whoop buds overrated ass too.

I had high hopes for bud when he started but he's been protected and he knows it and is fine with it.

They're protecting him for a reason.

Are you talking about Shane and Zab in their primes? Or in 2007 when Cotto fought them? Because that makes a difference. For the record I think Mosley’s prime was 1998-2002 while Zab’s was probably 2002-2006.

And do you think they are better because of their resumes? Or do you base that on the “eye test”?

            Cotto beats him.

I can see Crawford's style and movement making things challenging, but "da eye test doe" isn't enough for me to think he beats a proven elite fighter like Cotto.
