Don't blame Davis because he's become bigger than your idols, GGG and Loma. Someday you'll find another Eastern Euro to support.

Gervonta is the best from 130-140. Deal with it.
I get what you are saying.
But ranking should be determined by significant fights in the division and who won them. We can say screw Taylor's belts. That is ok, but you can't deny that he was in significant fights in the division and won them. That is what made him top ranked fighter. The belts in his case are only bonus.
You can say Davis has skills and is exciting which is true but that doesn't automatically classify him to be ranked better than fighters that actually did the work in their division.
Resume beats eye test in this case IMO.

Yeah totally agree. When you can sell
ppvs and sell out arenas in various cities on the USA with ticket prices rising and celebs are at ringside you are the A side fighter and belts become secondary. Tank sells…..and boxing is a business. As long as he’s winning and as long as the people pay to see him he and his team call the shots.

Barrios stock has risen. I'd like to see him against Taylor, Prograis, Ramirez and Romero

What a great attitude to have towards the fans. That's why his social media is blowing up and why he's getting so much love.

Shakur Stevenson could learn a little something from this.

Bro you can't expect Shakur to change his style and take punishment for the fans. He's been very successful doing what he does. If Barrios had Shakur's defensive skills he would use them but he doesn't.

At the end of their career's those "fans" are not going to take care of them when they're suffering from brain damage.

I'm not insinuating that Shakur should take more punishment. Just that he be more entertaining...when you are in with an overmatched opponent then try to take him out.

Devin Haney was entertaining for most of the fight against Linares. But just because he got caught people now want him to be all safety-first.

That's not the answer. He should fight like he did again, just fix the mistake he made. You can be defensively responsible and still put on a show.

If the fans like you and want to pay to see you fight that can lead to a financially successful career with plenty of money to be able to take care of yourself in retirement.

Shakur should change his style though.

I don't think it's going to translate vs elite opponents. It's all good right now because he's fighting guys with less talent than himself but like Haney, Shakur has big time deficiencies in the style he is using.

Which is basically doing his best to imitate PBF. The thing is, it doesn't look like Shakur has the power that Floyd had to make opponents feel him. In my opinion.

Barrios, though, I don't think he needs to change his style. He needs to sharpen his best tools. That jab.

Once he stopped using his jab, Tank took him apart. Literally figured him out around 6-7th round and started landing that lead left at will before dropping him.

But Barrios has a damn good jab, he just needs to use it to set up everything else. Sort of like ODLH or Alexis Arguello.

But Barrios has heavy hands. That kind of power that doesn't look crazy but lands deep. Like GGG, Spence, Foreman etc.

If Barrios develops his jab and fights from behind it, he'll be on the p4p list at some point. He can really fight, he just got too cautious against a knockout puncher and head hunted too.

Barrios should watch Arguello fights and model himself off of that. His foundation is there and he could **** if he wanted, he just needs to do it smart and with smart combinations. Not just punch and look to see if it did anything.
