Comments Thread For: Charles Martin: Dillian Whyte Ain't ****, That Fight is a Piece of Cake For Me!

Former IBF heavyweight champion Charles Martin is ready to welcome Dillian Whyte back to the United States. Sky Sports recently reported that unbeaten prospect Jermaine Franklin was under heavy consideration to face Whyte on a card being planned by Matchroom's Eddie Hearn - with the event taking place on U.S. soil.

Everyone would be Team Prince for this fight, hoping Whyte gets knocked silly!

Another trash talking loudmouthed American who cannot back his word up if he steps in the ring with Whyte, himself and Wilder are some of worse Hw ex-champs the Us has ever produced, absolute shlt boxers.

Apparently Arreola was even too risky an opponent for Whyte. US doping protocols prohibiting Eddie from taking someone with a pulse?

Just noticed that of the top HWs, Whyte and AJ have faced 3 names in the current top 10 (not counting the rematch etc.)
The others 2. The top 10 speaks for itself but, didn't expect to see what I saw when looking at the records of the top 3.

Whyte and Martin would make for an interesting fight. A confident Martin (and that confidence isn't always a given) can be tricky with his power and southpaw stance.

Franklin has shown absolutely nothing to make anyone think he will be a contender or pose a challenge to Whyte. He labored with Rydell Booker and was gifted a win against Jerry Forrest.

My guess is the Franklin fight is safer, easier to make and he still has an undefeated record.

Even though Martin earned that reputation of being a joke after the AJ fight he's done fairly well in redeeming himself since then. That was a good knockout of Washington in his last out, I think he deserves a shot at a decent name, and Whyte would fit that. Whyte would be a favourite but a Martin win wouldn't blow my mind, there aren't many fighters at HW who are rangy southpaws with some pop. Whyte's not what I'd consider a high-IQ boxer so I think a good gameplan in Martin's hands could cause him some trouble.

Good competitive fight between two C level HW’s.

There is nothing in the Martin fight for WHyte - he wins - so what? He should fight Ortiz
