I already defended him and said I would not think less of him if he avoided the rematch. It was a one sided win for Lopez. But if you are calling Lomachenko hype, you are obviously anti-Loma and are gleefully excited to have a loss to throw around his reputation. I mean more power to you, but the man is a real fighter in an age there are plenty avoiding everyone in this sport. I think he whined too much over the loss and did not give Lopez enough credit, but otherwise I realize this truth: Boxing as a sport is better off for Lomachenko being in it.

I mean, it was Lomachenko who gave Lopez his shot in the first place. He did not duck this younger, bigger, and motivated fighter. He is the real deal.

Beating Rigo after lazy Rigo went up 5 weight divisions to fight him did not impress me. I'd still like to see if he can bring Salido out of retirement as well for a rematch, with the superb Laurence Cole as the referee again, so he can just let them fight, firm but fair. Salido's body work in that fight was awesome, Loma couldn't take it.
Did you watch Loma v Lopez and think it was actually 119 - 109? Do you also consider Floyd v Canelo a draw?

Seems a lot of people not wanting to see this rematch have some pretty odd motives. Its not like its holding up an undisputed fight which was already signed or anything, two of the top guys at 135 this year, I'll take it. Haney & Garcia are both on dazn, Tank isn't fighting anyone not on PBC this year.

the first fight was VERY close, and there is an old saying in boxing... " never rematch a thinking fighter "

          ...
That’s not an old saying in boxing. It’s brand new; as in you just made it up.

The first fight ****** rather see Lopez vs Haney Tank or Taylor. Rather see Loma fight a top guy and win first.

Lopez is not interested in a rematch. He wants to move to 140 and face new challenges.

It seems putting loma in with the guy Lopez “struggled” with, is a natural step toward a rematch.

Loma has been fighting world class fighters since his debut? Loma has yet to fight any world class fighter, the closest is Lopez. Loma has been fighting lower class belt holders that had already been KOd by other lower class fighters or euro level fighters. He has yet to fight any future Hall of Famer and ppl saying Tank fights bums yet Loma fought a guy Tank KOd year before. Pedraza, Martinez, Linares have been KOd before Loma fought them. Luke Campbell is euro level and never beat any top fighter. Every fighter Loma beat for a belt, none of those guys beat an A class champion. Ppl praise Loma for his titles, yet **** on Broner being a 4 division champ when both beat regular C class belt holders. Only good name Loma beat was Russell, however Russell till this date has yet to beat any top fighter. And don't mention the Axe man, guy was overated and beat a smaller Nonito

Yes, I watched it. I actually bet a lot of money on Lopez to win at 3-1, I posted about this on here before the fight. I scored it 117-111. After 7 rounds I had Lopez 7-0 up, Loma just didn't turn up and did nothing to win any of those rounds. From rounds 8-11 Loma was very good, and he won 3 of those rounds, and had a case for all 4, round 12 Lopez won easily.

I actually do want the rematch, but the fact that Loma can't accept the defeat, or the fact that he was absolutely dreadful for those first 7 rounds, makes me think what's the point, as if the same happens again, Loma will have the same excuses, the same thing is putting me off Fury vs Wilder 3.

If I was a boxer, I'd hate to want to face Wilder, for one, I'd know if I made a mistake I could be badly hurt, and secondly, I'd know if I beat him, Wilder would just come up with 20,000 excuses and try and drag my name through the mud, and no matter what he said, some idiots would buy it. I love it when a boxer takes a defeat well. I can understand in fights that could go either way, or a fight poorly scored, but so often when you have these clear wins, the loser is so bitter, when he should be accepting, and motivated to come back better.

Ramirez finished the fight in fine fashion, and this will be Teofimo's first test @ 140! Ramirez is better than Mario Barrios! Did you see that crowd Tank brought out? Ramirez vs. Lopez will be even bigger!
