The significantly shorter southpaw will move up two weight classes - from the junior lightweight limit of 130 pounds to the junior welterweight maximum of 140 pounds - to challenge another undefeated fighter, Mario Barrios, for his WBA world super lightweight title at State Farm Arena.

Ellerbe is missing the point. Theirs no question that Tank is good. The question is “why doesn’t he fight the best fighters of his division”??

Wilder v Fury/Martin v Aj/Breazele v Aj/ Pedraza v Davis/Of course Floyd v Pac …a few of the notable ones. If both sides want it …particularly HaymonFloyd, who have the $…it will get done.

Pedraza wasn't with TR when he fought Davis; his multi-fight deal with Arum began in 2018. Martin is a notable exception, as Haymon didn't step in his way and allowed Martin to make a career-high purse. With Breazeale, PBC would've benefited tremendously if one of their HWs was able to capture a title.

Let's be more specific: it's extremely rare to find Haymon's "super-stars" competing out of the PBC umbrella. You may see second-tier PBC affiliates fighting on other promoters' cards, but never the top-tier names. Hell will freeze over before Jermall fights Andrade on DAZN.
