    Davis has a solid chin to go along with elite skill set…just taking to long to risk that 0 and challenge himself against the best.

        none of them guys could sell out an arena and none of them would move to 140 and fight someone in the top 8

          No one was saying anything when Pacquiao was fighting guys like Margarito at catchweight for vacant titles.

The best men fought the best & that is why we loved them. There are so many talented guys at 135 & 147 & they keep being held back & from a fight-fan's view point it is annoying, but from the fighter's view it must be devastating. Your career won't go on forever, probably it'll be finished when you are 35, you're going to have a long time retired & a longer time dead. Why are the promoters refusing to make the fights that matter?
            Another old boxing fan forgetting history. Acting like all these fights were made quickly. It took time for these fights to happen. You guys watch Tyson Duran Chavez Sr crush tomato cans for years now you’re acting like these older fighters were fighting killers in every fight. Stop it.

            Benitez didn’t fight Palomino and Leonard until he had about 40 fights

            Hearns didn’t fight Duran or Leonard until he had 40 fights

            Hearns Leonard Duran didn’t fight Hagler until the end of his career. He had already been in 60 plus fights

            Do you know what all it took for Hagler and Leonard to get in the ring? Hagler didn’t even want to take that fight

            The Leonard camp initially proposed a ten round, non-title fight. Leonard insisted on three conditions for the fight that would be crucial to his strategy; first the ring was to be 22x22ft instead of a smaller ring; second the gloves were to be 10 ounces rather than 8 ounces;

            Imagine another fighter in this era requesting stuff like this lol

            You historians are hilarious.

                  When Russell fought Loma, he was advised by Haymon but promoted by Golden Boy. PBC didn't become a thing until early 2015.

                  It's becoming extremely rare to find a Haymon fighter competing outside of the PBC umbrella.

                      Yes he is a STAR and he is the biggest Draw under the Welterweight Division...

                      However, that should NOT be an excuse to make weak Matchups just because he now has a following that doesn't care who he fights. Instead I think they should step him up into even bigger fights now that the Hardcores want. The numbers would be even bigger if the can please the Hardcore as well as his Casuals who he has been blessed and able to connect with and get to come out.

                      Wouldn't worry about the Critics who just hate the man just because...they don't even matter but you do have plenty of FAIR Hardcore Boxing Fans like myself who just want to see the best fight the best regardless of Network and Promoter affiliation
