2. On the all time Mexican boxers list, I’d have Barrera, Morales and Marquez a bit higher. Barrera and Morales fighting 3 times along with Barrera beating Hamed and Morales beating Pac in the first fight ….plus Marquez fighting pac 4 times and the Barrera all surpass anything that anyone on that list has done when it comes to truly challenging yourself against the best when they were at their best.

Sorry Thuglife, I like your moxy, but you can't deny that Golden Boy waited out GGG for at least a year before signing a contract (forcing Canelo to drop his WBC belt), and even then Canelo lost that 1st fight, a clear UD for Gennady. I wouldn't argue with Canelo edging the 2nd, but those other four you mentioned fought amongst each other multiple times, and most of those fights involved prime vs prime. Canelo's a great fighter, but let's keep it real, bro'. Let's not discredit the sweat and guts left in the ring by these other fabulous fighters.

With all do respect, don't agree with that Mexican list. I don't see kid Azteca nor Miguel Canto, not even Olivares. I think Chavez with all his greatness fought more cab drivers, no offense to those hard working men and women. The ginger in my opinion, is not there yet. He definitely has some and I meant big help in fights against ggg I and Lara. there's no way he won those fights,. You mention the "achievements" but nowadays they don't mean the same. He fought a drunk way past his prime in kovalev, on top of that the guy was on a grueling match just three of four weeks prior. He did won the 168 division and is looking for unification, very commendable. The 154 division was Lara's and after the robbery he never looked his way. 160 he waited out ggg and still lost the first fight. We all know what happened with floyd, and still one judge saw a draw. stay safe.

He eventually fought GGG in September 2017. That's actually more than a year. For the typical boxer over 30, that's not insigificant. So I disagree with your assessment of that tactic in this case.

I never stated that Golovkin suddenly got old. Regardless of this 154-168 blurb, Canelo dropped his WBC belt in May 2016 and did not fight GGG until Sept 2017. My contention is that Canelo (GBP more accurately), waited him out. And only took the fight when they knew GGG was past prime.
