Tank vs. Mikey @ 140 would be just as big as Spence vs. Mikey @ 147, yet Mikey would have a better chance of winning!

Fury had agreed to a trilogy with deontay wilder in 2020. Only wilder haters thought fury could walk away from that binding contract. Wilder accepted his trilogy option in march 2020. Yet people were ******ly saying he waited to long. They just didnt want wilder to interrupt a joshua vs fury fight.

Mikey and pac never signed contracts to fight. That's evident considering pac tried to fight ryan, bud, and mcgregor instead of mikey over the last year.

And tank aint going no where near mikey or any other top fighter. Tmt has made that clear.

Manny Pacquiao sued; injunction to stop Errol Spence Jr. fight filed

Paradigm attorney Judd Burstein told ESPN that his client is seeking damages from Pacquiao that could reach into the eight figures. Paradigm claims it had exclusive rights to negotiate Pacquiao's next two fights and his upcoming bout with Errol Spence Jr. was brokered behind the firm's back.

In addition, Paradigm says it paid Pacquiao a $3.3 million contractual advance that he has refused to return...

Pacquiao made news last year when it was announced that he had signed with Paradigm as its first major boxer. Per the complaint, Pacquiao signed an agreement on Feb. 8, 2020, for Paradigm and firm founder Audie Attar to be the boxer's exclusive representation worldwide with the promise that management company would get 10% of Pacquiao's fight purses and 20% of marketing, commercial and media contracts...

Paradigm claims that Pacquiao associates undermined the exclusive partnership, working on boxing deals outside of Paradigm's purview beginning almost immediately after the contract was signed -- and Pacquiao never publicly denounced the behavior. The complaint also claims that Pacquiao was negotiating on his own behalf behind Paradigm's back with a Middle Eastern prince.

Despite all that, Paradigm says it was able to negotiate a $25 million fight purse for Pacquiao for a bout with Mikey Garcia that would have taken place May 15, 2021, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Pacquiao was to receive a $5 million purse advance. That deal fell apart after Pacquiao attempted to make that $5 million advance a guarantee, even if he did not compete, per the complaint.

There were also talks about McGregor being the first of Pacquiao's two final fights, though that idea was pushed back because of a McGregor injury and his loss to Dustin Poirier in January, Burstein wrote in the complaint.

Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia idea back, interest from both sides

A possible fight between Gervonta “Tank” Davis and Ryan Garcia may not be as dead an issue as you’d think.

Garcia (21-0, 18 KO) and Davis (25-0, 24 KO) have had some back-and-forth with one another, not even terribly smack talk-y or anything, really. In January, days after Garcia beat Luke Campbell, the two agreed on Mike Tyson’s podcast to do a fight, but obviously that didn’t come to pass.

Now, Mayweather Promotions’ Leonard Ellerbe, who represents Davis, said they had real talks with Golden Boy a few months back about doing a fight with Garcia.

"For the record we tried to make the Ryan Garcia fight back in March with Golden Boy and they told me they were exploring other options and he would be fighting soon."

You may doubt this coming from only Ellerbe — especially given that Floyd Mayweather just said they have no intention to have Davis fight anyone outside of PBC — but Chris Mannix said there were indeed negotiations between representatives for the fighters, and a two-fight deal was proposed.

As for Garcia, he still says it’s “the only fight” he wants:

This is the only fight that I want, would love to make this happen this year!! You know this Leonard!!

Garcia, 22, recently withdrew from a planned July 9 fight with Javier Fortuna to deal with mental health issues, but says he’s looking to come back soon, and Golden Boy have indicated the same intent. We may hear something before then, but a wise bet might be to have them announce something for Garcia at their July 9 show in Los Angeles, which will air on DAZN.

Davis, 26, just fought this past Saturday, stopping Mario Barrios in the 10th round of Tank’s debut at 140 lbs.

It also has to be said that Garcia and Golden Boy have very publicly not always been on the same page, so Golden Boy’s plans for Garcia may not match what he really wants to do. That’s not a “for sure” thing, but it’s possible given the history between the two sides, which was most recently patched up with a new deal last year.

But a lot could change by the end of this year, too. Golden Boy may be leaving DAZN — that’s not official, but it’s been explored — which could result in a lot of different ideas getting traction that we might not see as likely right now.

Ultimately, at the moment this remains no more than talk, but it’s at least a stated interest for what could be a really interesting fight between two of the sport’s most talented, popular young fighters, and it’s hard to imagine it not being a good fight, too.

as i said no contract was signed.

This clearly says the deal fell apart with mikey vs pacquiao. Which means the deal wasnt completed. Completely different from wilder vs fury. The deal for the 3rd fight was completed before the 2nd fight even happened.

as i said. Tank isnt going near mikey or any other top fighter.

Ryan garcia isnt a top fighter. He has never fought for a world title. Ryan has never even fought a former world champion.

Ryan is another cherry for tank.

We wanna see tank fight real champions. Not secondary champions and prospects.

Time will tell. I think Paradigm has a case, which is why Ryan Garcia negotiations failed too. Again, I hope it happens!

I think that Tank should gradually move up to 140. I don't want to see him abusing his body like Adrien Broner did by carry too much weight on his smaller frame from jumping to one weight class to another weight class due to a lack of discipline. He should stay at 130 until his body completely fills out and matures. Then only should he move up to the higher weight classes like 135 and 140. I think he could cut down to 126 if he had to and win a title down there as well.

Even though barrios was eventually stopped you could see he took the shots a lot better than smaller guys. Even the rounds he was dropped when he got back up he ate more flush shots while staggered and didnt go down again.

Tank saw how hard he has to work at 140 and he cant slip up against the top guys there, he has a lot less margin for error and will have to go the distance with them and win on points.

I agree, the fight showed he could eventually hack it at 140 but he should grow into it rather than rush it. If he does it wisely he could carry his power up but he should face the top guys at 135 first
