His dumbass probably killed her thinking he wouldn't get caught and have his life ruined by having his wife and child know about it. Worst case he loses his family and having to earn the trust back while raising his bastard child but now the family lives with knowing hes a murderer and now hes gonna forever be in prison.

This guy shouldn’t be allowed to live. Allowing him to live is giving him hope and the possibility of some kind of future even if it’s not a particularly bright future. Murderers eventually get conjugal visits and other privileges that make life worth living and bring pleasure to the perpetrators. There’s even some hope of eventually being free one day. If he gets the death sentence he will feel the fear of his impending death and the public won’t be funding his room and board, meals and clothing. If he doesn’t get the death sentence then he should be forced into a life of very hard work, with no possibility of any pleasure and privileges that decent people are afforded. Work him to death. Verdejo is a celebrity prisoner, so there will be all kinds of loony women that will be sending him love letters and eventually this piece of **** will be getting conjugal visits. He doesn’t even deserve the slightest hope of that happening.

That's what I don't get. Everyone knew it was his girlfriend but the pregnancy was the tipping point for him. For him to do what he did to someone he knew and supposedly cared for like that is incomprehensible.

That’s just a way out. Let him live out his days in prison, he’s gonna get beat, ****d, constantly looking over his shoulder, thinking about what he did, what could have been and the life he threw away til the day he dies. To me that’s far worse than execution. The family themselves said they want him to serve life for that exact reason
