Two years ago i made a thread saying usyk will be the most avoided hw. And what do you know. I was right. So what's the holdup after being mandatory for 2 years now joshua is still delaying this fight. Grab some balls and fight the man.

Joshua wanted a much better, more dangerous fighter in Fury. He is now fighting Usyk who we actually don’t know much about at HW. We’ve seen him against two journeymen. One of them was KO’ed by a former Cruiserweight David Haye when Chisora was in his prime. Chisora has been beaten and stopped already. So Usyk couldn’t even impress there. Let’s face it, he was given Chisora and Witherspoon to look good.

Usyk impressing vs Joshua isn’t something anyone will expect. Given his age, he may very well be cashing out. He isn’t getting better with age/rise in weight. You are picturing the Cruiserweight version of Usyk from the tourney vs THAT opposition. And you will see when they fight, there’s a reason why a new weight class is coming between CW and HW.

Excellent post! I think Usyk is a smart guy... even if he looks like Lurch from the Adam's family. I think he knows he is limited at heavyweight. he may well be looking at a cash out fight at this point.
