Oscar forgot to mention that the gloves that he handpicked for Mayweather to wear in their fight were nothing more than pillows with a leather covering.

Would be great for boxing if Marquez won but I can't see it.
That's precisely right. odlh is bitter, though he would have the 'adoring public' think otherwise and desperately wants to see certain people fail.

I would not mind seeing Mayweahter lose. I would prefer see him win, however. But that win will be somewhat tainted as Marquez is older, not as heavy or as strong. I think that Mayweather should fight Cotto or Mosley if he wants to consider himself the best again. Manny too, but that fight might not happen.

You have no clue what you are talking about. Mayweather considered himself retired when Hatton called him out. There was no agreement on a second fight with Oscar at that time. Oscar chose a tuneup match because that is what most fighters do after losing a fight before they fight a rematch or another major fight. There was no reason for Floyd to give anyone a rematch because he beat everyone decisively except Castillo 1 (a fight that Floyd did win). Also, if Castillo knew how to beat Floyd, why didn't he do it the second time? What would a rematch with Hatton, Diego Corrales, Arturo Gatti or Zab Judah accomplish when he either knocked them all out or won decisively?

Oscar De La Hoya = Teddy Atlas in terms of accurate predictions.

I've never seen DelaHoya be so vocal about his opinion on a fight. My only fear is that he has some judges in his back pocket like Malinaginni indictated. He's trying to sell this fight to the public, he's obviously upset that he himself lost to Floyd and all the while admitting that he wasn't the complete package whne he fought Mayweather. At the end of the day, Marquez is a very very good fighter with tremendous pride, Mayweather was known as the p4p king, hopefully we get a good fight. All this talk and 24/7 is all pure BULL****, trying to hype/sell the fight......It'll all be settled in the ring

I seriously think JMM is a great fighter who shouldn't be overlooked, but I still find it hard to listen to what DLH says because he usually just says things to promote his fights.
