Nah, he stepped aside and will likely be fighting on the same card....A big mistake on his part IMO. He shouldn't have accepted the step aside and fought Casimero for the title. Supposedly it is NOT in their contract to fight Rigo next so he could end up being left out...Another bad decision made by him and his team.

Oh alright. Thanks for correcting me. Smh that sounds absolutely terrible. How they thought that was a good move is ridiculous

Rigo got hit a lot in his last 2 fights and his opponents were not nearly as good as Casimero, so I think his team made the right choice.

I mean the winner of Casimero/Donaire could end up fighting Inoue. So Rigo will be left out and take on some other tough fighters at 118 and could lose to them without a title being on the line and likely for less money.

Rigo probably got some financial compensation and will most likely be fighting a softer touch opponent than Casimero. At his age, it may be more valuable to him like that If the the winner of Donaire and Casimero can't come to terms with Inoue and TR than Rigo is a nice alternative (and decent leverage).Comment
