i truly believe floyd could have beaten hernandez much younger than he did---i feel he is one of those special fighters who had what it took to become champion after only a few fights---he had the power, the speed, the footwork, the great workrate, the stamina, the corner---the mindset to achieve his stardom younger---he really didn't change his style up too much from the amateurs----and he knew how to break veterean fighters down as if they were amateurs and he was the veteran---that's a tuly great boxing mind---which is what he did to pep and hernandez....i feel he could have won his 1st title at age 19---only after a few fights--what do you guys and gals think?

On the real, at 19 he would have beaten everyone he faced at 130, I really believe so. At 18 or 17 he could have became champion but he wasn't gonna beat someone like Ganero or Corrales at that age.

Probably. But his team took the right path rather than taking an unnecessary chance.

Yes...but the waiting a 1-2 yrs got him some more confidence and maturity under his belt(s).....and so when he finally had his shot...ge basically felt so dam invincible...and it showed.

he actually struggled against some guy in his 2nd or 3rd pro fight, I think the commentary actually had it a draw and/or were questioning who it would go to. Mayweather was cut in that fight too. it was only a 4 round fight though.

so I dont think so, although it depends on who he fought for that 'title'. he just needed a little more time to mature and adjust to the pros, thats all.

theres absolutely nothing wrong with winning a title at 21. I mean, its rare for that to happen as it is.
