Clinical, those body shots would have flopped much bigger men. Think he's been the real deal for some time, just needs the dancing partners to progress his career onto elite level.

What folk have to remember with the Donaire fight is that Inoue fought with a fractured orbital from the 2nd round onwards.

Same injury that halted Brook, Dubois and BJS and Inoue toughed it out for over 10 rounds!

Also considering what Donaire's gone onto achieve that's worth a nod of acknowledgement at the very least.

Yes, fighting ten rounds against a puncher like Donaire speaks volumes about Inoue's fighting heart.

I don't see any avoidance in his career path, with the exception of Donaire, the opponent's just haven't been available. Hopefully we can get that full unification against the Casinero- Donaire winner.

There were many other fights taken place at the same time. But all these haters chose to watch this one hoping so bad he'd lose. Haha the hatred is eating their insides right now.

            Cong**** to the p4p champion.

Why would they fight Rigo? He has no belt and few fans.

              Don't beleived in promises

              The winner will fight Inoue

Then when the fights do become competitive, everything he’s accomplished at his natural weight will be discredited & he’ll get the “see I told you guys he was a hype job!” rhetoric.

In lomas case, 130 should have been his ceiling. Though he’s been successful at 135 he’s clearly not the same guy that he was at 126 or 130. Inoue will probably suffer the same fate if he ventures up into the 120s which I feel is inevitable
Amazing post, and a spot on analysis of boxing fans as a whole. Where else would sports fans get angry at people for being dominant at what they do and ask them to be at a disadvantage to prove themselves? Should Aaron Donald or Mike Trout be forced to tie one arm behind their back just to show us if they really are great?

Yet, that is what we are essentially doing when we clamor for a fighter to fight above the weight class they are best at. The irony being, we are saying, ‘if you really are great, then fight at a level where you arent as great to prove yourself.’

side note, for those who struggle with reading comprehension, this isnt a reference to Inoue’s competition tonight. Rather a statement about the sport as a whole
