You can file this along with those criticising Joshua for not mentioning Fury after beating Pulev.

There's no point in him dealing with ifs. Fury holds the belt and Arum assured them the mediation was nothing to worry about. So they pursued the unification in good faith. But as it turned out it was a waste of time.

Fury is fighting Wilder. Joshua has Usyk as a mandatory. It really doesn't make any sense for anyone to look beyond those fights.

Joshua lost to Ruiz for a variety of reasons, but a key ingredient in the mix was a certain hubris which I think that defeat has probably eliminated. I would disagree with you in terms of leaning towards Wilder just because Joshua has the more reliable set of tools to fall back on. I do agree in terms of your acknowledgement of the substantial amount of uncertainty in the outcome if the fight ever happened. Wilder does indeed possess more than enough firepower to first discombobulate Joshua and then splatter him with a windmill, but his tendency to strike sporadically from distance is actually the kind of tactic that Joshua loves. If he can see it coming, he can avoid it. And with Wilder, he would see it coming. It was Ruiz's rapid-fire combos as Joshua went in for the kill that he didn't see and proved his undoing.

I think, sadly, it may all prove academic, as I truly think the chances of them fighting are slim.
Which is a shame. I think they ONLY meet if wilder wins and that’s part of the reason I want him to win against fury, he just makes the division so interesting. Wilder and Joshua can both hurt the other that much is not debatable I just think wilder lands first and would intimidate Olafemi. However, I won’t ever claim that wilder is the automatic winner. It’s a toss up but I just lean towards wilder. But I really don’t like that Olafemi lost to Ruiz…wilder lost to fury who is the best heavyweight since the Holyfield and Lewis era.

An objective boxing buff who isn’t a paid hack know a boxer is as good as his level of opponent. And a boxer’s power is measured based on the quality of opponents he knocked out. Wilder lacks both. He couldn’t spark 50% Fury who has put down by cruiserweights out and got schooled. 100% Fury walked through his exaggerated power, ate his punches and beat him like a thief.

Keep being delusional like the rest of the Wilder fan girls - he belongs in a coffin against AJ.
        You're a real strange cat.

Check AJs last fights. He been fighting shot 40+ year olds, and losing to morbidly obese midgets. Now he's fighting a cruiser weight.
Who are these midgets (plural) that AJ has lost to? Who are these 40 year olds (plural) that he has fought in his last fights?

Fact 1: he has lost once in his entire career.
Fact 2: since winning his first HW world champ belt, the only person Joshua has fought who was 40+ was hall-of-famer Klitschko.
Fact 3: Wilder weighed 212 lbs in the first fight against Fury. Usyk weighed 217 lbs in his last fight. What makes Usyk a cruiserweight in the here and now?

Fair comment. I'd be watching it if ever happens.

Who knows, maybe he could, but what we do know is he definitely could of tried and definitely chose not to.

And you know what? I think you said something that is worth reflecting on -- that you don't like that he lost to Ruiz. It's a simple truth, but it's worth saying, especially for Joshua fans (I root for Joshua when he fights, but wouldn't say I'm a 'fan' per se): it was disappointing that he lost to Ruiz. It was a shock. It was an embarassment. It revealed flaws in him as a fighter. It's worth acknowledging.

It helps that he avenged it with a shutout victory in the rematch and there are signs that it may have helped his development as a boxer (as opposed to a KO box office draw) in the longer run, but yeah it certainly dispelled any notion of Joshua as some invincible titan.

Why do u repeatedly call him olafemi u utter fa**ot, that's one of his middle names, Anthony isn't his slave name, and with u being the most fake woke person on here that percieved angle goes out of the window, and he never refers to himself as olafemi so your just disrespecting the man tbh, and all this from a guy who loves black men so much that he sleeps with them every chance he can find a g*y black wh*re on the street, I'm disgusted with you're attitude today oldskoolf*g

Is wilder mentally deficient ? a mandatory is not what Joshua chooses it’s what the governing body states and orders.
a champion makes defences against mandatory challengers it’s how it’s always been.
just cause this clown liked defending his old title against the spilkas and Washington lol.
I don’t think he is in a healthy place at the moment he sounds a bit deranged and incoherent if truth be told lol

Hey listen, seriously though....which excuse from Wilder are you going with? Not the costume one right? The water? Nah...mayble the gloves, or Covid? Which one do you think is the right reason? I heard one which I think might be the real reason: he's fuc&&*g garbage and has never beaten anyone of note. Fury is not much better and he will also duck Joshua. Those two frauds make good dance partners, and fools lap it up.
