DAZN won’t allow Canelo to fight on Fox. Canelo has too much traffic on DAZN, and it’s PBC whom would have the hard time matching DAZN money. Plant nor Canelo care about PPV since modern times have better guarantees. DAZN could simply stipend Plant with a percentage just to swerve his dumb mind about PPV. Too much piracy with PPV atm. The new world standard for Canelo fights is as little as 2 dollars. Many don’t stream with that price point as well getting a month’s worth of content.

Yes it would be " huge " at the box office. But probably one of the biggest farces the sport of boxing would ever endure. It's sad what the sport of boxing is becoming. Where fans get all hyped up over YouTuber boxers fighting washed up MMA'ers. Or the type of farce Mayweather put on the other day. I'm a die hard boxing fan and now I'm watching this crap. Why ? I think it's because all these greedy promoters don't want to put on the " best vs best " anymore and fighters don't want to risk losing a fight anymore. It's both their faults. Now we're stuck with watching these farce's for entertainment. Sad.

Oscar is so jealous of Canelo. Canelo would gut prime Oscar like a fish. Different level. ODLH world class, Canelo Elite.

Oscar, in his prime would comfortably outbox Canelo. He has more skill, speed and variety. Of course, at his age now it would be tough unless you do a Hopkins, but at 48 or thereabouts it was tough for him against Kovalev.

De La Hoya probably wasn't happy with Canelo's criticism and feels he did a lot making Canelo a star. They should just end that beef or just accept that they're not friends anymore, and handle their own biz.

I don't recall ODLH being a drug cheat. And Delahoyas resume absolutely destroys Canelos..

Golden boy is nowhere near as good as Ginger boy. I still remember when Sturm outclassed Golden Boy, it was embarrassing for him to lose to a journeyman like that. Robbery.

For as big as a draw ppl make Oscar to be, he only sold over 1 mil buys like 4 times out of 19 ppv fights. And guess what, he lost all those fights

I was a big fan of Oscar. He had talent, good looks, and was well-spoken. What kept him from winning his biggest fights ie, Mayweather, Mosely, and Trinidad, was that he was not mentally tough enough in the late rounds. Oscar fighting at this point in his life would be more of a freak show than a high-level boxing match. Now he is an embarrassment to the sport. He is hardly a role model for young Latinos or anyone else for that matter.

As for Oscar fighting Saul Alvarez, that fight should never be sanctioned anywhere. Canelo is both mentally and physically stronger than Oscar ever was. De La Hoya would not be able to beat Canelo, even in his prime.

Yes. Golden boy was certainly a good fighter, but generally fell short in his harder match-ups, and he never mentions the Sturm fight as he knows he lost to a domestic level fighter there and was gifted the fight. Ginger Boy would KO, or beat easily on points, any version of Golden Boy.

Agreed, In their primes DLH defeats Canelo and relatively easily. I will also add that Trinidad would have as well. In fact with his piston jab, Canelo vs Quartey would have been interesting. Whitaker also beats Canelo easily.
