Apparently he bust his ear drum in the 3rd which is where the blood came from (not a scratch from magic wolverene nails).
I totally believe that, it would totally explain The way Wilder looked for the rest of the fight until the towel came in. He was acting like somebody who had suffered that injury and was struggling with his balance and performance.
Its Boxing, it happens, he could get clubbed to the side of the head a hundred times and not suffer that injury but it can happen and when it does it’s leaves you in a real mess. It’s just really difficult to coordinate your limbs and focus.
That wouldn’t of been another crappy excuse that would of been a good one, an acceptable one and very believable. Yet him and his team denied it at the time and Wilder chose to go with the ridiculous Wolverene nails story.
Why? I believe Scott and it just makes total sense and it’s just real bad luck that turned the fight. Why deny it if it’s true. That’s if it’s true.
