Is Ricardo Mayorga an underachiever or an overachiever?

    Which is it?

I say he's an overachiever. Anyone that can win multiple titles and beat top tier competition with the boxing skills of Mayorga has to be considered an overachiever.

I agree but I think considering the hype that he recieved after beating Forrest, some may think he's an underachiever.

He's an overachiever but he obviously had natural talent as a boxer but wasn't brought up too well. If he had just been brought up with a boxing background and taught the basics he might have done even better for himself, or maybe his swing for the fences style was part of what made him successful as a limited boxer?

Overachiever. Mayo is raw a fighter as they come, and he still got some titles to his credit and became a big star who drew some $.

It depends on how you see it, Mayorga is an overachiever because he didn't have the skills to get this kind resume but an underachiever coz his natural gift was his insane power. Unfortunately his work ethic and the way he smoked and drunk never gave him an opportunity to fulfill his maximum potential. He could have been something like Aaron Pryor if he would have trained hard under a great trainer, like Roach or Mayweather

Good point, maybe with more dedication he could've coupled his raw power with skill.

What's funny is he was winning the Mosley fight and had Shane flustered for most of the fight. Margarito didn't do that.
