People that know nothing about boxing should stop making movies about boxing. If there is one sport where it is important to understand its culture/history, it is boxing. I'm sure movie will paint Ryan as some underdog because he's from Victorville which sucks big time but in grand scheme of the sport, he's had the easy road.

This kid is typical of his generation....seeks attention and thinks he is better than he is without proving it first. The movie will likely be a blank screen with him on the credits.

Yeah it's gonna be an inspiring story of how he gained 30 million Instagram followers by posting videos of himself shadow boxing without a shirt.

The movie is titled "The Man That Swerved Haney But Would Have Fought Tank and Pacquiao If He Didn't Have Mental Problems!" Starring George Lopez as an aspiring boxer who struggles with depression...

His actual fallback plan b (acting) might actually be better than his boxing career, less anxiety. It's always a good thing to have something to fall back on when you're an athlete. Fortunately for him it was a very young age.
i always remember what max kellerman said after the ortiz-maidana fight. he said boxing asks more than is reasonable. not everyone is cut out to be a fighter; it doesn't make you weak to not want to be a boxer. but ryan garcia wants to be famous and no one will care about him unless he's a fighter.

I guess he wants to be Brendan Schaub but Schaub had a lot more fights at the top level before he retired.

This kid will go down as one of the biggest frauds in recent boxing memory. The little fake Mexican diva should just go be a movie star because he's not much of a fighter.
