In his case, yes. The fight is more important than creating a circus atmosphere to sell a fight at a press conference. He is not a promoter but Bob Arum is.

I love this new strategy by Wilder. I wouldn't participate in anymore interviews or fight build ups with old media either because they helped cover up Tyson Fury's alleged crimes in the ring by not covering them.

Wilder is pissed and rightfully so because he has been done dirty by mainstream media. However, I am pretty sure that new media would have full access to him though; Especially the ones who've shown him love.
