Eddie is so desperate to make Connor a ppv star. Despite the fact he is and never will be anywhere close to world level. expect more granados's, Vargas's and other washed guys for the next couple of years.

I'm not suggesting that Granados isn't on the decline due to the wars he's been in.

I'm suggesting that Conor Benn is being vastly overrated, likely because of Sammy Vargas. You talk about "shot af" - look in the dictionary for that term and you will see Sammy Vargas, not Adrian Granados. And Benn STILL couldn't drop him, couldn't drop Formella, etc.

Benn is one of those Calslappy-style swarmers that happens to actually punch solid, but he's just a swarmer and trigger refs jump in when there's a swarmer involved. He hasn't shown me anything yet that leads me to believe that he's upper level.

Granados, unlike everyone else Benn has fought, is a slugger who will go down swinging. He had a case for beating Porter (who went to war) and other than that, he's only ever lost clean to guys that stayed at range and stayed away from him. That's not how Benn fights.

If fighting a much older and smaller man is considered "a move up" in competition, well.. that says it all.

Can we not see him fight Marku or Avenysyan instead of these washed up journeymen?

Just going to drag out for years isn't it? Conor Benn vs some light punching, face first pressure fighter that is way past prime. Benn tags them early, flurries, ref jumps in!
May as well just rematch Vargas over & over again for the rest of his career.

All this talk about fighting a washed up Khan or Brook.
Still clearly both are way too much risk. He'll keep fighting the same punchbag over & over before finally facing one only when he and the team are 100% sure they are of zero threat.

            I hate how boxing works.

Everyone seems to be on the same accord with this bout. While Granados certainly has more in the tank than Vargas, this isn’t the type of matchmaking that is going to win over any new fans nor really take Benn up the ladder in confidence or skills that he’s going to need to obtain a belt. Remember, it is the fans who can vote with their feet, and their voices, don’t pay good money to watch this heap. Demand better.

This is a decent stay busy fight for Conor and it's very close to his house. I'm sure he will step up before the end of the year. He's moving at a good pace.

I thought they were going to get better fights in the UK, import better competition, world wide connections, Canelo co-op. I guess that was last week.

Nice little step -up for Benn. Granados is fair gatekeeper.

                      What a load of shlt.

Game changed my arse. It's amazing that there are people out there who still believe Eddie.
